Victron Energy GX Tank 140 Monitoring System with 4-20mA & 1-10Vdc Sensors

The Victron Energy GX Tank 140 Monitoring System is designed to provide accurate and reliable tank level monitoring for up to four sensors. This monitoring system is an accessory for the GX system monitoring products, with the Cerbo GX being the most commonly used model.

With the GX Tank 140, you can easily monitor tank levels locally within the system or remotely through the VRM Portal. This allows for convenient and efficient monitoring of tank levels in various applications.

The GX Tank 140 is compatible with both current senders (4 to 20 mA) and voltage senders (0 to 10 V), providing flexibility in sensor selection. The connection to the GX Device is done via USB, eliminating the need for additional power wires as the GX Tank is powered through this connection.

The tank sender wiring is designed to be simple and hassle-free. Two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power supply to power the sender, while the remaining two channels require an external power supply. The terminal also includes power and fused outputs to facilitate this setup.

Configurable upper and lower limits allow for the use of senders that provide only part of the scale, such as 0 to 5 V. This versatility ensures compatibility with a wide range of tank level sensors.

To ensure stable and accurate readings, the GX Tank 140 utilizes an averaged damping feature. The damping can be adjusted between 1 and 60 seconds, providing flexibility based on specific monitoring requirements.

Faulty sensors and wiring issues are quickly detected by the GX Tank 140. When values are out of range, an alarm is raised, enabling prompt troubleshooting and resolution.

In marine applications, the GX Device can transmit tank levels on the NMEA 2000 network. This allows other displays, such as an MFD, to receive and display the tank level information.
