The Victron Energy BPC240845102 Blue Smart IP22 Charger is a professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth. It is designed for use on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles, such as classic cars, motorbikes, boats, and camper-vans.

Bluetooth Smart: The Blue Smart IP22 Charger features built-in Bluetooth technology, allowing you to wirelessly monitor voltage and current, change settings, and update the charger when new features become available.

High Efficiency: This charger is highly efficient, generating up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. When the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to only 0.5 watts, which is five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm: The Blue Smart Charger utilizes a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management system. It automatically optimizes the charging process based on how the battery is being used.

Storage Mode: The charger has a storage mode that activates when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to minimize gassing and corrosion. The voltage is raised back to the absorption level once a week to prevent stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation, which can lead to early battery failure.

Li-ion Battery Charging: The charger is capable of charging Li-ion batteries using a simple bulk-absorption-float algorithm.

Fully Discharged Battery Recovery: The charger can initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. It can also reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with an internal disconnect function.

NIGHT and LOW Setting: The charger offers NIGHT and LOW modes, where the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output. In these modes, the charger operates silently. The NIGHT mode automatically ends after 8 hours, while the LOW mode can be manually ended.

Overheating Protection: The charger is protected against overheating. The output current will reduce as the temperature increases, ensuring safe operation even at high temperatures.
