Description:

Sika® Primer-207 is a solvent-based black primer that reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. Specifically formulated for the treatment of bond faces prior to the application of Sika’s 1-component polyurethanes, this primer provides excellent adhesion without a previous activation step on many substrates. Sika® Primer-207 fluoresces under long-wave UV light for a limited period of time, aiding in-process control.

Usage:

Sika® Primer-207 improves adhesion on a broad range of substrates, including float glass, ceramic-coated glass, plastics, pre-coatings, painted surfaces, E-coats, and metals. It is suitable for experienced professional users only, and tests should be performed on original substrates to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Application:

Shake the Sika® Primer-207 can thoroughly before applying a thin but covering coat with a brush, felt, or foam applicator. Ideal application and surface temperatures are between 15&degC and 25&degC. The primer should be applied only once, ensuring adequate coverage. Tightly reseal the container after each use.
