  • 72 channel GPS, Glonass, and Galileo GNSS positioning receiver
  • Supplied with iKonvert (NMEA2000-NMEA0183 converter) for easy and flexible NMEA 2000 installation
  • Can be configured as a dedicated GPS, Glonass, or Galileo only device
  • Sophisticated anti-spoofing algorithm for robust positioning performance and interference rejection
  • User/field selectable baud rates (4800, 38400, and 115200) through internal DIP switches
  • Multiple formats of NMEA data output, including datum information
  • 10m cable for convenient installation
  • Up to 18Hz update rate for smoother plotter track displays
  • Ultra-low power consumption at 12V DC (<20mA)
  • Input for MOB switch/system to generate synthetic AIS MOB NMEA output
  • Professional system (ECDIS) support with datum sentence structure (DTM/GBS/GNS/GRS/GSA/GST)
  • Puck installation or fits 3rd party industry standard 1" x 14TPI threaded mount

Specifications:

Product Description:

The Digital Yacht GPS160 Trinav Sensor is a high-performance positioning sensor that combines GPS, Glonass, and Galileo satellite systems to provide exceptional accuracy and redundancies. With a typical accuracy of better than 1m and an update rate of up to 18Hz, this sensor ensures smooth and precise plotter track displays.

The TriNavT software technology enhances the sensor's performance by improving positioning vulnerabilities caused by spoofing and local interference. It utilizes a sophisticated anti-spoofing algorithm to deliver robust positioning performance. The sensor can be configured as a dedicated GPS, Glonass, or Galileo only device, allowing flexibility based on specific requirements.

The Digital Yacht GPS160 is supplied with the iKonvert NMEA 2000 gateway, making NMEA 2000 installation easy and flexible. The iKonvert eliminates the need for cumbersome drop cables and allows for a thin 10m cable to be run from the GPS160 to the nearest point on the NMEA 2000 backbone for seamless connectivity.

In addition, the GPS160 supports a simple external MOB (man-over-board) switch or device. When activated, it generates a "synthesized" AIS SART MOB message on its NMEA output, which can be interfaced with a local plotter for MOB identification. Most modern plotters support this feature, providing a clear MOB icon and instant bearing and distance information to navigate to the casualty.

Galileo is a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) that offers mariners a reliable positioning source. The GPS160 utilizes Galileo along with GPS and Glonass systems for enhanced accuracy and redundancy. With 22 operational satellites and more planned for deployment, Galileo is set to be fully operational by 2020.
