It is built with a double-layered rubber inner tube and a durable Dacron outer cover, known for its tough and elastic properties. The hose coils effortlessly and feels similar to a quality 3/4" braided dock line.
• Rubber Tip Nozzle - The included rubber tip nozzle protects your boat's surface from dings and scratches. The over-molded comfort grip ensures easy handling and maneuverability.
• Reconfigurable Shutoff Valve - For a clean installation, it is recommended to mount the enclosure through the bulkhead, allowing a seamless connection to a designated washdown pump or the boat's freshwater plumbing system below decks. The valve can also be reconfigured to exit the bottom of the enclosure, providing convenient access to an external spigot in the cockpit. Please note that a feeder hose to connect the shutoff valve to the external spigot is not included. The shutoff valve is crucial for two reasons: it allows water pressure to be removed from the expandable hose, enabling it to shrink before storage, and it serves as a physical shutoff for the water source when not connected to a designated washdown pump with its own electrical shutoff switch. If hose removal or replacement is necessary, simply turn the shutoff knob on the valve and unscrew the hose from the fitting.
